Paint your Darling "PopArt"
is a further development of “Paint your Darling” in black and white or in color “Convert your photo into a painting”. In the 1960ies, the “PopArt” style of painting was created by Andy Warhol in America who, above all, portrayed renowned characters of that time. It is distinguished by the fact that only the most important characteristic traits of a person are depicted in loud colors. The contours are clearly defined and distinctly silhouetted against the background. SCHIPPER Arts & Crafts rediscovered this style of painting and adapted it to the series “Paint your Darling”. After having purchased the kit, the customer will send his portrait photo to the manufacturer and will be returned by mail 4 painting templates sized 18x24 cm within the next 4 weeks. Now, the hobby painter can very easily create 4 spectacular portraits of his or her Darling by means of the Painting by Numbers technique.
