Paint by number landscapes

Bring a landscape to life yourself

From a calm lake and a colorful field of flowers to a tropical coast or mountain landscape: with Paint by Numbers you can create a landscape yourself step by step. The numbered areas show exactly where each color belongs. This way you can slowly build up the image, even if you have no painting experience.

Schipper has a wide selection of landscape paintings in different sizes. A single painting of 40 x 50 cm fits easily on the wall. Triptychs and five-panels give a wide panorama more space and together form a striking whole.

Which landscape suits your interior?

Don't just look at what you like to paint, but also at the colors and proportions of the place where the work will hang. A wide triptych fits well above a sofa or sideboard. A standing 40 x 50 cm painting works better on a narrow wall. Natural tones give a calm appearance; cityscapes and sunsets can add more color and contrast.

Choose between 40 x 50 cm, triptych and five-panel

  • 40 x 50 cm: one complete image and a wide choice of motifs.
  • Triptych 50 x 80 cm: three panels that together form a wide landscape.
  • Triptych 40 x 120 cm: extra wide and suitable as a striking wall work.
  • Five panel 132 x 72 cm: a large painting project with five related parts.

In addition to the size, pay attention to the number of small color areas. A landscape with many leaves, reflections or buildings usually requires more precise work than a design with large, quiet surfaces.

Complete Schipper painting packages

The paint colors in a Schipper set are pre-mixed. The painting example has clear contours and a linen structure. With the included check sheet you can find numbers that are no longer visible during painting. The exact contents differ per set; therefore always check the product page.

Develop a landscape in a clear manner

A landscape often consists of clear parts, such as sky, water, trees and foreground. You can work per color, but also complete one part of the image at a time. Preferably start at the top and work downwards, so that you are less likely to run your hand over wet paint. Take extra time for fine leaves, reflections and buildings. It is precisely these details that give the finished landscape depth. If you want to hang the painting, choose in advance a size that suits the available wall space and take into account space between the panels of a multi-panel.

Frequently asked questions

Are landscapes suitable for beginners?

Yes. For your first project, choose a clear landscape with clear areas of color. Highly detailed forests or cityscapes offer more challenge.

Is a frame included?

Most painting packages are supplied without a frame. Matching frames are available separately for various standard sizes.

How do I choose between a single painting and a multi-panel painting?

Choose a single painting for a more compact project. A triptych or five-part requires more time and wall space, but produces a larger end result.
